Phew, what a hectic weekend! We landed back at Heathrow at 6.30am this morning on the “red eye” (now I know why they call it that). Ah, I love New York! I’ll be back with a full report soon, but here’s a photo taken from the roof terrace of the apartment where we stayed in the West Village (thanks to a very generous friend’s gran!)
The crappy exchange rate made things SO expensive compared to when we were last there just over a year ago – like, things are almost the same price as they are here! Outrageous. Shopping was therefore curtailed but I did manage to pick up a sweet tripod, only after a hilarious argument in a camera shop (more on that to come). Oh, and also my favourite lip gloss that’s only available in the states for some insane reason (Lancome juicy tube, beach plum, if you’re interested). Yes, that’s literally all I bought in 4 days of being in New York. That, my friends, is willpower.
